"I'm Sam Poursafar, President of BLIS. I am a second-year, majoring in political science. I will be graduating in spring 2022. I am currently located in Dubai, UAE. Following graduation, I plan to attend law school."
Why did you start BLIS? What do you hope to help our members with as the president?
"I founded BLIS to allow all UCLA students to have the opportunity to thrive and excel in a pre-law and finance organization. I hope all members can take advantage of BLIS resources, which include guest speaker events with individuals from top law and financial firms as well as investment and business law workshops. I know by working together, we can create a robust community of UCLA students interested in law and finance."
What has been your favorite internship/extracurricular/personal experience? Describe.
"Working for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein as a Legislative Assistant & Constituent Services Intern. This experience showed me the hardships many Americans face, and reinforced my interest in politics."
